“Borderline” - The Shivers
I tear up every time I hear this fucking song. Every single time.
For me, “Borderline” is every love song, every heartbroken song, every “oh fuck, the inside of my head is a scary place” song, every “I need to be alone but I don’t want to be alone” song. I have a hundred memories wrapped up in this song and some of them are amazing and perfect and some of them make me want to go to bed and never wake up again.
I was fortunate enough to have tacos and beers with Keith when I was in New York, and we spent most of our time in some random little Mexican place in Queens talking about how you don’t get the opportunity to choose who you love.
Keith did most of the talking.
